In mid June we drove west into Norway to meet up with Nina+Gil on the Lofoten Islands.
Just before the ferry over to the islands is the amazing Saltstraumen Maelstrom, where the ocean and river currents collide--
Many of the island's old fisherman cabins have been converted for cozy guest accommodation :)
We spent each day hiking around this magical place
(that's the trail along the left side of the pic, and shear drop on the middle-right!)

Definitely one of our top five recommended places to visit in the world!!!
