26-27 April - Amersfoot, Netherlands

Amersfoot was my favorite city visited in the Netherlands (-I know I said I would live in Enschede, but that's in its countryside, so it doesn't count ;).
It had a perfect mix of everything: ancient canals and old city walls, castle and cathedral - all without having to share it with too many people :)! Besides getting to explore the medieval town, the biggest treat was getting to actually sleep in the middle of it! We found a fantastic bed-and-breakfast housed in one of the old buildings right up against the cathedral in center city. It was lovely :).

Old city walls surrounding old town-
Alec's stick!
City gates-
A grey heron!
Inside the walls-
Little houses on canals-
And fountains for the boys to try and jump into-
Our B&B-
Our loft bed - so much fun! (the boys slept below)
Andy going nuts on the B&B piano ;)
Boys enjoying the B&B toys-
...MY only regret: not enjoy the second B of our B&B ;)!
